Pub Games → [game] Kingmaker 4

Rules:
* The Kingmaker may not reveal his role! Doing so results in an modkill. There are no restrictions for other roles.
* The Kingmaker chooses two two players for Kingship: a main and backup selection. If the main selection is killed, the backup choice becomes king.
* The selected King ends the day with EXECUTE (player). Don't do this if you're not the King.
* The Kingmaker must choose a new, different King each night. Repeat Kings aren't allowed until there are five or fewer players left.
* If the Kingmaker is executed, a new Kingmaker arises out of the loyal villagers and choose a King for the next day. If the Kingmaker is killed at night, a new Kingmaker similarly arises but the old Kingmaker's final choice is used for the next day.
* If a deadline is used and the King does not execute anyone before the deadline, the King will be executed when the town grows tired of his incompetence!
* No-lynch is not an option.
* Do Not Edit your posts...this will result in a mod kill.
* Do Not give anyone thumbs up....this will result in a mod kill.
* If you are not allowed private communication, then you are not allowed private communication. Breaking this rule will result in, you guessed it, a mod kill.
* There will be no postings of IM's....this will result in, all together now, a mod kill.
* Keep it respectful and nice. No personal bashing of any one player.
* No aiding a player in his/her strategy after you have died. Not only is this frowned upon, but will result in a permanent ban from any game that I mod.

I am very excited to play this format. Seems very similar to the assassin's game, yet different. That probably doesn't make enough sense. *shrug*

This style is new to me, so expect a lot of annoying questions

The assassin format is fantastic, and this just seems like a little more complicated format than that.

I read the last couple king maker games and it's pretty interesting.

uhhh, that is a little forward isn't it? isn't the idea of the assassins to kill the king, and then eventually all the people who are not assassins? i was pretty sure that was how ti worked. lol...

No. The Kingmaker ( a player ) apoints one king every day. That king decides who to lynch. There is no voting, the king decides everything. He is king for one day, then the kingmaker chooses another.

The point is to kill the assassins who get night kills.

Mr. Mod is still deciding if there will be a deadline....

Basically Dez, we still "vote", but that is merely to help the king render a verdict on who he plans on executing. The goal is to kill the assassins before the assassins kill us.

Does this mean we get free schnapps ?

I realize I have played this format once before... just have to remember how it played out.

I recall allot of impossible ultamatiums on the king's part i.e. "I am going to lynch Dezbend unless he proves he is good or tells me who a bad guy is." I hope we have developed better strategies than that by now.

I'm going to say "not a good chance" to that.
