XBL2009------ join:2001-01-03 Chicago, IL | If Ireland has a plan why not the USA The Irish have a new broadband policy to create the fastest broadband in Europe and also 100% availability.
We should have never allowed the Cable and Telephony companies to corner the market in Broadband. |

Europeans have typically always had better public transit due to higher taxed oil (i.e. government makes sure it makes as much as OPEC off oil so that public transit, healthcare, etc. are properly subsidized). -- Canada = Hollywood North |

| The point of private healthcare is to turn a profit which means they have to deny care to someone at some point in order to make that profit.
In Japan they have Universal Health care and it's very popular, the only downside is that Doctor's don't become millionaires. |

en102Canadian, eh? join:2001-01-26 Valencia, CA | In Canada and many parts of Europe they have Universal Health care (I think the U.S. is the only G8 nation that forces private/profit based health care). As a Canadian, living in the U.S. for the past 8 years, I prefer Universal. -- Canada = Hollywood North |
