Betting Pool:
1 to 2 odds we don't even see 10mbit symmetrical in the U.S. by 2012 in more than 10 percent of American homes.
1 to 50 odds we actually see download speeds of 50mbit by 2012 but upload speeds of about 5 mbit in say 20 percent of homes.
Incalculable odds we see 100mbit in homes by 2012.
Since we're apt to toss out numbers, I got 100 percent odds that lobbyists will be keen to throw around their weight in order to prevent any real broadband development or improvements. All the while, ISPS go backwards in contrast to the world, and install more strict caps. |
