Washington Post article on Rick752 and EasyList

There was an interesting article in today's Washington Post about Rick752 and his EasyList add-on which keeps Adblock Plus working.

Thanks for all the time and effort you've put into EasyList, Rick. It's hard for me to express enough gratitude for what you're doing to make the Internet a much more pleasant place to be.

Good article! Thanks, SteveK.

Rick's Adblock filters are so good, so well-maintained, so efficient and unobtrusive, and so darn effective that I tend to forget what a great service Rick does for so many of us.

*Thank you, Rick!* Your efforts are not unappreciated!

Keep up the great work!

This is great news
Those who are using IE don't know what they are missing.IE7 Pro does not even come close to EasyList.

Aw shucks ... thanx guys

It was an interesting interview. Although the story is slightly tilted toward advertising, Peter Whoriskey did a pretty good job of keeping it as objective as a reporter could do that is working for an advertised newspaper. I kind of expected that though.

The most fun I've had so far is reading all of the comments at the end of the story. Adblock Plus ... always controversial!

Do you mean this? I thought I had two subscriptions, but I'm not sure what all that means.

First, click the "Filter rule" bar until it shows no arrow on the bar. You have it clicked to rearrange the filters by name.

Is there another subscription name down the list?

I like this argument,

I agree GK.

I'm waiting for the slew of counterpoints that always come from an ABP news story. This will be the advertising sites telling us how we are ruining the internet ... when it's the advertisers that are ruining the internet for us. "Everyone deserves to make money on the internet" ... oh yeah? Says who?

So much for the "free" sharing of info and ideas!
