fatness : I'm not sure I know the answer, but I'm going to take a guess. I'm guessing that "followed threads" means "threads followed within X days of your last known visit". If that's the case, then the threads should start accumulating there now that you're back.

Just a guess.
--
Female monkeys often utter loud, distinctive calls before, during or after sex..

Auto-following forums -- how to restart after absence?

MorWired : I'm not sure whether this is simply a question or a bug report, but thought I'd post it here for starters, giving the site the benefit of the doubt.

I've been away from the site for a few months, and when I now go to my "followed threads" page, it's empty and says that nothing has been updated since I've last seen it.

I know that threads that are automatically followed will eventually fall off the other end of the followed list if they're not opened within a specific amt of time, but shouldn't there be some threads still showing? In the actual forums the threads have the little yellow star that indicates they're being followed, but they're not showing up on the followed page.

So, if this is a feature, and once a person has been away for a certain amt of time their followed threads are removed from the list, how do I go about restarting that, since as far as the threads are concerned they're already being followed? And, if this is actually a bug, please move.

Thanks.
--
Get your daily dose of wonder from the Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD).
