dvpatel : Thanks. Nice to know I am not alone. Vonage did get back to my emailed support request. As I had expected, they blamed it on my friend's provider or his settings where he must have chosen to not transmit caller ID. But he has done no such thing and this doesn't seem to be a fight worth fighting. :)

jnjrjbc : I don't have a fix you, other than what you've already done by turning that feature off, but I have seen the same thing with my Vonage service too. I have even seen where the number is not shown, but will show on the very next call (even happens when calling from my cell phone to test it). It's obviously an issue with Vonage recognizing the incoming callers information in their system before it's sent to the end users phone. It's an annoyance I've come to deal with, unfortunately.

Incorrect Anonymous Call Forwarding

dvpatel : I have a friend who unfortunately for him is still with TeleBlend. Since this month, his calls to me get the Anonymous call message and he cannot call me. Last year when I moved, we contacted both Vonage and TeleBlend as he could NOT call me. We had (TeleBlendSupport on here) had cleared up the mess and deleted my number from their routing and we have not had issues since late last year. All of a sudden, since early (first time on 6/2/2008) this month, he cannot call me most of the times. He gets the anonymous caller message but I can see his number in Vonage call logs as being Forwarded to Anonymous Call. His number is clearly legible which means Vonage does indeed recognize his number. When his calls come through once in a while, his name shows up in the ID hover. For the forwarded calls the ID says Private Caller. But the phone number is correctly displayed in Vonage Call logs.

Does any one else have this issue? I turned OFF Anonymous Caller as this is getting frustrating as they cannot call us. I have send an email to Vonage Support but was wondering if this is a systemic issue.
