Still no Verizon trucks near my building!

I don't see any Verizon trucks close to my buidling installing FIOS, but CEO is so close to me: between I and H on Ocean Avenue, and I live between J and K. And there are always trucks next to the CEO!! There are some "tubes" lying next to the trucks or I dunno how you call them.
THIS IS BIZARRE!! Does it mean that FIOS is so close, yet so far away from me?

Those long tubes, are they related to installing fiber in any way? And if they are, can I expect to have FIOS soon?

Last year in my neighborhood the underground conduit was in roll form about six feet in diameter (HUGE roll, needless to say).

But that other fellow talked about his street being dug up while our neighborhood wasn't, it was all underground like a mole with it popping up here and there w/o any sidewalk or street pavement work that I recall. They're incredibly neat about it too. When they did the drop to my garage there's no evidence of how they did it other than the fiber poking out of the ground next to my garage and the grass around the light-green covered Verizon box showing evidence of being stepped on (with a sidewalk inbetween too). Nothing else (about 30 feet maybe). 'Nother mole strike I presume.
