| reply to ydoucare Re: Sprint Refusing to waive Early Termination Fees
I am in a chat session right now on this very topic. My account still shows the original date. Okay here's the answer 5:51:20 PM Agent One moment please, while I pull the account. 5:51:28 PM Customer Thank you. 5:53:50 PM Agent I am showing that the card is set to expire on 8/21/08. The contract date will not change. 5:55:31 PM Customer I think I understand. The card expires but not the contract. So, I will no longer be billed. Correct? 5:55:45 PM Agent That is correct."
I should mention that I asked the same question earlier today and got the same response. I sure the hell hope they got it right.

1 edit | reply to ydoucare To answer your question about how long MCom takes to get you up and running, I can tell you that when I ordered (early 2008), I received the device and router in about 4 days, it ran as soon as I installed the software and it connected almost immediately. It was all pre configured with userID, password, etc. A few minor adjustments were needed to get the CDU to work in both the router and my laptop, but that took all of 3 minutes. Since then, I've had to update the firmware on the router but that took practically no time and it made major improvements in overall operation, so well worth the time involved, which wasn't much...like 10 minutes or so. -- Franklin CDU680/Assent MBR400 combo, CAY1912 panel antenna, Millenicom, 4 XPPro stations, Mozilla everywhere. |

2 edits | reply to hwy67 For the record: If the stipulated date of 21 Aug. holds up, then my data card connection with Sprint is on its last legs. After that it's a matter of what shows up on my next bill + becoming a millenicommunicator. Update: The data card has disappeared from my account. The Mogul is there now all by its lonesome.
