| That is way too high.
Why should only the rich and companies with deep pockets be the only ones to take advantage of this.

 | i agree so much. many more people would farm thousands of domain names with the hopes one may be worth something. i think the price is reasonable. |

This world of getting things based on a monetary system is getting out of control, I tell you! Soon we are going to have cats living with dogs and snowballs will be able to survive in hell. |

 | reply to tuaris What "mess"? Domain squatting becomes very very uneconomical. With unlimited TLD's the internet moves back to open access. Before the government turned the management over to ICANN the plan had been that ICANN would approve hundreds to thousands of new TLD's to eliminate the problem of squatting. They didn't go forward with the plan because of how much money they make from squatting.
The only rational thing is for there to be unlimited TLD's. I shouldn't have to type coke.com or coke.net or coke.org, I should simply be able to type coke to go to the coke website. The same is true of thousands of other TLDs. A free internet requires unlimited TLDs. The artificial segregation the government tried with .com,.net and .org simply doesn't work in a worldwide internet with multiple languages and alphabets. |

Your comparison of a domain name to a lamborgini is retarted. You have to be joking right? There is no reason that a fully custom domain and a standard.com should have different costs.

| reply to rahvin112 Get Firefox, bookmark the coke site and make the keyword for it 'coke' and it will do exactly what you say.
In all seriousness though, even with this going through, typing 'coke' still won't work. You'd have to type something.coke for it to work. |
