 | Easily abused Sure a company like google can get their .goo domain for all their services. But what about when so called "clean" domains sprout up and eventually some idiot wants to pass a law that says ISPs need to block access to all but the clean domains? In itself new domains are not bad but the same people who pass laws under the guise of child porn, easily are already planning their utopian censored internet. And since they are going to earn 500k for doing nothing, icann isn't going to say no to anyone. |
 | Google doesn't become .goo, it becomes .google, there isn't a character limit. Want coke's website type coke into your browser and it finds the .coke TLD and website. Want Google type google, want microsoft type microsoft. With unlimited TLD's you don't have to remember .com, .net or .org or any of the other .tld extensions as businesses can register their own TLD with their trademark. |
