[Help Me] D-Link WBR-1310 not communicating after move

I just relocated to a new city and just set up my desktop running WinXP.

I use to have ATT internet DSL service with the D-link router between the ATT device and my computer. The D-link has 4 hardwire connection and wireless.

I now have cable modem and it works great. I try to connect the D-Link router and....nothing happens. I loose the connection to the internet.

Anybody have some ideas on what to try?

Is the WAN type is set to Dynamic(DHCP)? Did you power-down the cable modem, before connecting it to the router?

How do I check the WAN type?

Type »192.168.0.1 into your browser's address bar,and gain access the router's user interface. Then select "Manual Internet Connection options" ,and see if it's set for Dynamic(DHCP).
