Mountain is now the slowest of the 3?

I know Cogeco has been faster for some time, but since when has Source been faster? I'm using my friends internet connection right now pulling a solid 10mb/sec off newsgroups, his upload is also over 100kb/sec.

Is this some kind of joke? Why has mountain been surpassed by everyone now? Argh I hate mountain. I wish they'd stay with the curve like they used to. Lazy damn company now.

Its ok, I'll take unlimited.

The guidelines for Bandwidth Usage/month for each service package are the following: Quickclic High Speed Internet: 60 GigaBytes, Quickclic Lite: 20 GigaBytes and Wireless Internet: 60 GigaBytes. Source reserves the right to set specific limits for Bandwidth Usage and charge for excessive Bandwidth Usage for residential Services at any time.

I just moved to the MC service area. I'm at a scorching 5mb down and 500kb up.

I was a cogeco customer in burlyworld before. My residential pro speed was 15MB down. I didn't think I'd be singing Cogeco's praises again (and so soon).

I'm guessing the general attitude at mountain cable is they are just running out the clock hoping Cogeco will eventually buy them for some astronomical amount.

MCV is 6mbit/512kbit for standard res service. Personally I much prefer MCV's network to cogeblows.

I'm not so sure about that. The few people I personally know at MCV take great pride in being fiercely independent, the owner and the owner's son have frequently rebuffed many lucrative offers. I know that they're working on improving infrastructure, and are doing so at a steady pace that will not compromise the quality of service. I'm looking forward to switching from Bell this summer.

Source's cap is rarely enforced. My friend goes way over cap and they don't charge him for overage.

I really hope MCV does something about their internet speeds sometime soon. This is getting rediculous.
