First i'd recommend you upgrade the firmware to the latest 7.4.x
Second have the modem be bridge in the setup then connect to WAN port of linksys router and let it do the PPPoE Dialing. |

| Hi,
I'm sorry BryanViper, i appologize but i must point out that i already explained to you why connecting directly at the demarcation box doesn't "bypass" the parasitic components which are present on a faulty home wiring or, to the very least, not completely...
It's not good enough to connect directly at the root because when doing so the customer would simply fail to account for non-twisted wires hidden behind walls which can easily amount to a few hundred feet. I'm sorry but such a huge mesh of flat cables would be a perfect candidate as a parasitic A.M. antenna if you consider that the A.M. and DSL bands are overlaping!
The lines are not differentiated until a filter makes them separate, A.M. waves captured upstairs can very well travel up to the demarcation box and propagate toward the MoDem, even when the phone is "filtered". |

| Hi,
What's "awesome" exactly, static numbers like his SNR Margin and Attenuation levels?... Two resets per day isn't particularily impressive and we can't trust the counters since Thomson's FirmWare has most probably cleared them as a consequence of the 1st reset... Consequently, it's totally possible there could have been a five thousand CRC Error burst before the 2nd reset without a trace of it... |

1 edit | Okay perhaps a few questions.
Does his adapter drivers support WPA and you are using WPA2? Does his adapter drivers only support TKIP and you are using AES? Is MAC adresse control enabled and blocking him?
I know it seems basic, but firtst things first. -- Cheers! |
