"Yeah, their network sucks." - Alcohol
I don't see anything in the reply that says your area. So once again PROVE their NETWORK SUCK or retract such a broad and incorrect statement. |

| reply to tiger72 I guess it depends in what city but so far I've had zero droped calls since I got it in December. I've visited LA and Las Vegas (just a few days ago) with excellent service and zero droped calls. -- Team Discovery-Join the fight |

So, yeah. Feel free to compare coverage maps (or whatever), but for many other's actual practical use, one network may be better suited - coverage maps or otherwise. |

| reply to Alcohol The iPhone is a status symbol, and a hot one right now. Similar to the PS3 a couple of Christmases ago. We all saw people paying 2x to 3x retail price for those things on Ebay.
I know here in Canada, a lot of people switched from Bell Mobility to Rogers just so they could run an unlocked iPhone (EBay for $600US - $800US) or a look alike. Never mind that at the time, the iPhone wasn't fully supported, and some of the features didn't work right over here, they were just happy enough to have the overpriced thing hanging from their hip.
By having a iClone in their official lineup, they can head off some of the migration. At least until, Apple decides whether to introduce a CDMA version of the iPhone. |

Sprint lost over a million people the first 3 months of 2008 - you bet your a$$ they're going to leave for a "bigger" reason. Yeah, their network sucks. Maybe in NJ but no in southern california. If sprint ever don't have a signal, it automatically and for free roams on verizon network. |

| reply to tiger72 said by tiger72 :consider yourself lucky. Even when i'm on/around their corporate campus it drops calls. Huh, I don't have that problem. A friend lives near there and doesn't have a problem. But they do have 13,000+ employees/users in a couple block area. Would be difficult to manage. The other carriers that have that many in one place would likely have the problem too.
When I had an ATT phone, I could pick the spot when driving when a call drop, with 100% accuracy. |

$69.99 for just 450 minutes and the data plan which is basically required with the new one. Not including texts if you go the 3G iPhone route.
Instinct gets all for starting at $69.99. I have Verizon personally so I know things aren't the cheapest, but I get what I pay for and no complaints. Dare I got recently has worked out well also. |

| reply to Alcohol Regardless, Sprint gets what they want, even with a knockoff phone: records sales and locking customers into a contract. Sounds like they win even if sales trail off very soon. Right now, it's about revenue. -- The Atrium Forum
