Too bad AT&T has sucky phones

I would never stoop so low as to waste my money on buying anything from Apple. It is unfortunate that the iPhone is linked to AT&T.

I am sure that most would agree that this phone linked to network problem has got to go. I know when I have to upgraded my phone in the next couple of years, I am going to have to purchase it out right because all of the phones that AT&T is providing are crappy and most are dumbed down to the point they do not work correctly.

So why can't the Instinct work on another network? Or can it?

Just like the iPhone can work on any GSM carrier if allowed.

The same will apply for the Instinct on a CDMA carrier if allowed. So even if you don't like Sprint, I am sure Verizon wouldn't mind much activating it for you on their network.

I know in the past VZW has gone back and forth on accepting "non-native" CDMA phones (they have their own testing regimen for the phones they sell), I'm not sure what their current policy.

The iPhone can work on any GSM carrier, but I think it's interesting to note that from all that's been said, the iPhone 3G won't work on T-Mobile 3G.
