Rombus : by 2200, do you mean a Scientific Atlanta 2200?

If so, and the problem continues, make sure you turn it off when your not using it (the light near the power button will be off if the unit is off, time time should still show). If you try that and still keep getting breakup, i might suggest another box, the 2200s are pretty old and i know up in NEO we had a few issues with them.

jdre : Oddly, my reception on the cable ready TVs is better than usual, and Roadrunner has a good signal. I guess I will see if it persists and maybe they can check signals. I have had corroded coax in the street before.

MadMANN : Second what Rombus says. Your digital box is likely picking up the digital simulcast of your analog channel. Therefore, it is mapped to the same channel (in your case, 22) but is actually carried on a different frequency.

What you may have there is a plain old signal issue that would affect any digital channel.

Rombus : You are correct, your box is picking up a different channel than your other TV even though they have the same channel number. In most areas, TWC has implemented "Digital Simulcast" which means all the analog channels are also broadcast as digital.

To fix it, double check that the coax cable input is tight, otherwise, just give TWC a call and they can come out at look at it.

jdre : While using analog band channels, our old-school RCA console TV hooked to the Scientific Atlanta Explorer 2200 box will sometimes show square pixels and sound will drop out or go out of lip sync. I had Channel 22 (CNN) do this, had 22 on at the same time on a Mitsubishi set was fine (no box on that set).
I figure it is a box issue, or is it really tuning a bad digital channel while showing me the same channel number?
