Right on schedule, Verizon's FiOS TV gets with the HD program and over doubles its lineup in at least one market,
Not exactly "right on schedule"...

Okay... right on the most recently released schedule of 6/30

Re: Verizon Channels are Here in Fort Wayne!

I got off the phone with one of the people from Verizon, asking about the digital number they gave us here in MD.

And she said that we won't be getting the HD Channels until late November or early December here in Maryland.

I'm freaking pissed!!!!

I am in Fort Wayne. I don't subscribe to the Sports Pack and I do have the Versus/Golf HD on and it is on channel 590. Outdoor channel HD on 591, however, I can't view it as you must have the Sports Pack for that channel.

Interesting channels that are on the guide line-up in Fort Wayne that didn't make it to the actual system are:

TBS HD
ESPN NEWS HD
CNN HD
MSNBC HD
LIFETIME WEST HD (Who gives a rats arse?)
Lifetime HD (Who gives a poo?)
Mojo HD
Starz Kids and Family HD
Starz Comedy HD
Starz Edge HD
Showtime West HD
Showtime 2 HD

So in Fort Wayne...we now have a total of 39 HD channels.

Bravo HD is a joke. It has been in 4:3 all day today. Smithsonian looks brilliant. USA HD has HD content such as the Law and Order shows and Monk so far. Big Ten HD looks grand, lots of HD tennis, track and field, baseball...can't wait for football and basketball season. Weather Channel is pretty sharp, not like you will watch it that much, what maybe 5 minutes? Science HD has very small cropping bars on sides of screen, ratio is bigger than 4:3 but smaller than 16:9 on some programs..same with TLC HD. Sci Fi HD had some HD content today, most is not. History looks good, mostly HD content. Animal Planet HD looks good. Golf/Versus HD currently is showing old Ryder Cup coverage and it is naturally in 4:3.

All in all, good day in Fort Wayne for Verizon Fios HD. Wonder where the other 12 channels are and if and when they will be added.

Hope all this helps some of you...

Brad in Fort Wayne.

No TBS HD? Grrr, hope it is there before the MLB playoffs -- or perhaps tomorrow? Is Ft. Wayne a 2 day rollout for the new stations as well?

I have to admit I'm totally looking forward to Burn Notice, In Plain Sight, Monk, Psych (all USA) and Eureka (SciFi) in HD by the end of the month (I hope I hope I hope I...)

Not sure...what is odd is early this morning, all the channels I listed as not showing up, were on the guide at 5am and 9am before the channels were actually activated. Then when they were activated, those 12 disappeared on the guide and channel locations. Not sure why? Maybe there is a 2 day process. All the other channel location changes took place. Hell, there are channels in the 1000's to 1500 range....Yikes!!!

Brad F. when you say the channels you posted above were on the guide lineup but not on the system, did you mean the posted PDF channel guide on the web site or the actual IMG guide on your settop?

He meant IMG

They've updated the channel lineup again here:
»www22.verizon.com/content/fiostv···neup.htm

They are now showing the new channels and the old channels and duplicates. Big Ten HD is indeed shown now, however TBS HD is nowhere to be found.

I wouldn't trust what the CSR says. You could talk to five different CSRs and get five different answers.

any chance you could upload those pdfs to here? many (most?) can't see the new files... even with direct links. they're just not on the servers we're hitting apparently.

Its not the PDFs, its actually the text listing on the page.

I can see them, but it does me no good until the channels show up which probably won't be until late Summer or early Autumn.

Here's a PDF that I created instead of printing out the page. It will show you what I was describing.
