I think there are people who just want to bash Sprint based on a past experience. Sprint added CDMA to 4000 Nextel sites and went from 255m pop coverage to 262m today. The network is pretty solid now and they have better roaming agreements than any carrier.

My brother has a Sprint phone in NYC (Brooklyn) and broke then antenna off - still no problems. And he train travels to Philly/DC/Boston often.

The network is a non-issue, it's the customer support that still needs improvement.
