| [Connectivity] Strange router behavior
So I just moved into an apartment and our ISP is RCN. I've been trying to configure a Netgear MR814 wireless router and no matter what I do, I can't connect through the wireless. I can connect to the internet just fine if I use cat5 to connect to either the modem (toshiba pcx2500) or the router.
Here's the weird part... When I try to connect wirelessly, my computer tries but never shows that it connects. Oddly enough,after it tries to connect, I can actually access the internet for about 5 minutes even though it says I'm not connected.
I'm at a loss for what could possibly work at this point... any ideas are very much welcome. Thanks! |
