Problem solved. Since no one posted suggestion(s), I assume no one is interested, so I deleted the post. |

| reply to CaptEd Actually, I stumbled on this solution while looking at info on my DNS-323.
1. First, Make sure UpnP is enabled on your PC. The following link is a typical example. »support.dlink.com/faq/view.asp?p···ion=upnp
2. Then apply: »support.dlink.com/faq/view.asp?p···=DNS-323
This worked for me, in that my services were in Manual and not Automatic. I simply changed them to Auto. YMMV. |

| Actually, this did NOT solve my problem. From DLink support: Set up printer as LPR device. 1. log onto print server and record LPR queue name under "Attached Devices". 2. from Windows/Start/Settings/Printer & Faxes, choose "Add a Printer"... Wizard appears 3. choose "Local" and UNCHECK Automatically detect PnP. 4. choose "Create New Port"/(drop down)"Standard TCP/IP Port"... another Wizard appears 5. TCP/IP Wizard: enter print server address 6. continue to finish, adding LPR queue name found above, set as default, print test page to verify. |
