| [HELP ME] DSL-500G, DI-624+, DWL-2100AP
Hi guys,
I've got a DSL-500G and a DI-624+
workin fine for my broadband and wifi, at my home.
Now, i need to extend my wifi to my in-law's house nearby
round 80~100m away...
Without investigating, my much younger brother-in-law bought a DWL-2100AP, and asked me to try and wire it up to my network so they can have wifi.
Problem is... I'm a web programer, not a hardware guy, please help guys.
Firmware:
DSL-500G - sorry, wil update again
DI-624+ - 2.05
DWL-2100AP - 2.30eu
Question
1. How should i set this up?
I've tried this settings
624+ - DHCP on, wifi networks without sec.
2100 - DHCP off, AP Repeater Mode
site surveyed for my wifi network and copied it
Placed the 2100AP at their house
Result is :- I cant get IP assigned, keeps getting
'acquiring IP address' and drops dead with
a limit connectivity
2. Can DWL-2100AP even work as a repeater for my DI-624+?
3. Should i jus ditch the 2100 and get a stronger antenna?
