 | New to RR, just wanted to say HI As the title says, I just wanted to say HELLO! I have been a longtime user/visitor here and have been a DSL user for years. I recently bought a new house and the speeds for my DSL were horrendous (distance crap) So I decided to dump ATT all together and got TimeWarner Internet and phone (I am in a DirecTV contract so no luck on getting all 3 services)
Anyhow, so far I am extremely pleased with RR. The speeds are GREAT! I had some trouble initially with the way my laptop was setup, but after some research and some tweaking it all came up to speed. The only qualm I have (or had) was that I did not get to choose my master account username, so I am stuck with something I will not use Not a big deal as I created sub acocunts, but it still would have been nice to have the master as something I liked. Oh well, that's just minor.
The last thing I have yet to figure out is how to access the modems gui. I can get to a login page via 192.168.100.1 but it asks for username and password. Nothing I enter works there.
I am looking forward to meeting all the gurus and having a place to go for help and general knowledge or just hang out and learn things! |

And welcome to the RR Forum ! |

1 edit | reply to wilson10 I'm a new RR subscriber as well. I used to have DSL, quit due to intermittent connection and slow besides. RR is more reliable so far and much faster (my DSL at best was 700-850kbps, RR is 9000-10000kbps). I was far from the phone company DSLAM. |

 | reply to wilson10 Welcome to rr. I'm in southeastern ohio not too far from you. I have the turbo package and i love it. I get about 14.7mb download and 736 upload speed. If you are in the mid-ohio division just remember you can add turbo for only 9.95 more a month. Well worth it i think!!! |
