Don't think so. It was about the elimination of analog and conversion to all digital that was the prerequisite as I understand.
BPon and GPon is about more channels/faster internet, though don't quote me on that one.  |

Verizon is eliminating analogs, and expanding out their QAM service (to a full 870MHz) on a market-by-market basis. As those changes roll into these markets, Verizon is adding channels. |
