[ps3] Tekken 5 online lag problem

I got a ps3 and tekken 5 on-line version from the Sony store. I have comcast and a sb4100 modem. I also have a dir-655 hooked up to it to. I am using ethernet on my ps3 but my lag is pretty bad. It goes low and high stays at high for a few minutes then goes back down. Is there a port or something that I need to open on my dir-655 for tekken?
