hnFAPMon V5.0 is progressing nicely

Sorry everyone for my long silence. As busy as I've been at work and at home, I have little time to work on hnFAPMon, and even less time to browse this forum.

I have more time now, and the all new hnFAPMon V5.0 is looking good. It's still at least a month from being even in Beta stage, but it's coming along.

I'm currently without HN; we got struck by lightning last week, and it took out our DW6000 (lightning actually went through the house! It also took out a large tree close to the house)

We're currently using Alltel EVDO, but the signal is to week for a good stable connection, so we've ordered a new HN modem and dish. It's due to be installed on the 9th. Unfortunately, I have to shut off the EVDO on the 3rd (or I'm locked into a 2 year contract), so I'll be without internet until the 9th.

Once we get our HN back up and running, I'll get going again with hnFAPMon V5.0.

Again, I'm sorry that I have not been around lately. Once we get HN back, I'll stay in better contact.

I forgot to mention, for all those who sent me a site ID with FAP info, I will run the numbers to improve hnFAPMon V5.0 (and probably update the current modemDefs for now)

Welcome back millham, hopefully you can get hnfapmon to read our site id's get to get most decent percentage of bucket.

Also I found a bug when I use remote desktop to my brand new Linksys Wireless-G USB1.0 on my old Dell laptop. hnfapmon would go crazy until I reset the service. (like blinking 100% to 80%)

but anyways if you need beta test I more welcome to test it out for you.

Was very accurate for several months. Then being an old installer (the first in Vermont # 624xx) tried changing back to a little $60 home plan unsuccessfully with NOC directly on three different birds between 99 west and 117 west. Hughes definitely places the cheaper accounts on poor transponders, often with unreported ? ACP problems. Want a good transponder/satellite? Yes, they are available but mostly only for $90 - $180 per month !!!
Currently I'm enjoying the Internet, stable but slow from 11 miles away in Massachusetts on 850 MHz. average 27 Kilobytes, 32 peak 24/7 No FAP or Threshold. Its a pleasure to not have rain, fog or their poor responsibility satellite up link outages. Using AT&T Old edge system with a Sierra 881 USB Air Card and external antenna through 100 feet of cable.
My info on AT&T »Log Periodic Antenna and AT&T 881 Air Card GSM/3G ready Regards John

Just to let you know there's new packages of hughesnet. Elite and Elite Plus.

HN700S's Pro Plans are still 375MB
HN900's Pro Plans are 300MB

Yep, I've noticed those plans. My understanding is that they are only for 9000 users. I have no idea if hnFAPMon works with the 9000 modems. That's something I'd like to find out soon.
