It's HSDPA enabled, and I live close to a 3G enabled tower, and have 4 bars.... I see the "H" symbol which I believe means that I have a HSDPA connection on the phone.

the reported speed with the High Speed AJAX test using Opera Mini v4+ is 4313kbps latency was in the 120's to 241ms for the first ping. The iPhone Mobile gave 5198kbps with most pings in the 115 area and a couple in the 335ms area. check out the photos.
