Re: [IL] Your opinion on telephone service? For the most part I have been happy with the service and voice quality. My internet speeds are normally excellent and I think that helps. There is the occasional outage (probably not even once a month) but it is usually back within an hour. I can really only remember once, during a large outage across Eastern Iowa, that it was down for longer then a a couple hours. I did have some voice quality issues a few weeks back (people on the other end couldn't hear me or I sounded choppy). My internet speeds were sporadic at the time but that lasted about a week and has gone back to normal. I tried calling a few times for support during that time and got a busy signal.
Overall, it is not as reliable as a regular phone line. But, it is cheaper and the quality is good enough and service is consistent enough to not make me switch back to Qwest. |
