Ascii2 : I seek an Internet service provider that adheres to the following parameters:

Connection stays available (no or close to no down time without timely notice)
Low or good price (at least, as close as possible)
Low latencies
Must supply bandwidth for office of like twelve computers that each may download at at least 1 MB/s (8 Mbps) simultaneously and also be able to upload at least at 1 MB/s (1 Mbps) simultaneously.
Services the downtown Chicago, IL area.

I am not sure if a DSL or cable Internet service would be sufficient for office use.

I was thinking about calling the local telephone and cable companies (AT&T and Comcast) and requesting quotes.

There seems to be many Internet Service Providers who also have services for fractional T3 lines (which seem to be more expensive than DSL).

It would be useful if there is a place that aggregates the Internet Service Providers information and informs on their quality, pricing, and their service locations but I have not found such a place.

Help with this would be appreciated.
