<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/1302955"><b>sansri88</b></A> : Our perch today was at my dad's jobsite right near the LIRR train station by the Midtown Tunnel.<br><br>They're rebuilding the fan plant for the train tunnel there, so we just set up camp on the roof of the building.<br><br>I'll post some pics tomorrow :)<br><small>--<br><i>Sriram Satish</i><br>Comcast of NJ II sucks. <description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/326640"><b>KCrimson</b></A> : They moved it this year 10 blocks further south, with the southern tip of the display corresponding to approximately E. 10th St. The display was originally centered south of the bridges, giving the Brooklyn Hts. promenade a perfect view, now its one of the peripheral views.<br>Edit: I was unaware until this morning that Macy's added a fireworks barge back near the South Street Seaport - making the Heights Promenade a prime viewing location once again. In Greenpoint you are right in the middle of it all, with NYC in the background.  personally, I don't think your GF will mind a rougher spot for a better view - unless she's an out of towner.<br><br>as for what street to go down;<br>come on, Code - you LIVE there.<br>go to a Laundromat or something<br>and ask the natives :uhh:<br>then report back here  ;)<br><br>whereever you go is very safe, because the city wastes<br>millons on tons of cops and park rangers crawling up<br>everyone's butt, keeping anyone from drinking in public.]]></description>
