It's who do you trust?
The possibility exists.

With the largest user database in a country regularly under seige with the highest number of malwares, trojans etc. this is a unique AV with HIPS and very light on the system. I am giving it a spin after using Avira for a long while, so far looks good on my XP x64 system.

I've noticed one problem though. When playing a game, there is sort of drive lag. I dont know if it's due to the game accessing the hard drive too quickly, or the Antivirus thinks i'm infected by something.

trying to find out how to stop this, but otherwise it's a pretty damn solid AV.

thanks danny, but i'm not a fan of software firewalls. I enjoy a power consuming physical (sometimes bulky) box.

on a side note. any idea as to why, this AV is slowing down my gaming? me and my son noticed like hiccups with this installed, but when we went to antivir there was nothing, or if we use CA Suite.

This is the best I can find on the subject;

"Change the deny options in custom setting to ask, that will do the trick."

Hope this helps.

Works fine but bear in mind many features like HIPS etc. gets disabled in x64 OS due to restrictions imposed by the OS itself. Runs very nice so far, I am not a gamer so can't tell you about the issues being faced by some folks here. What I can tell you is that compared to Anti Vir Premium, this one feels much lighter, app loading times have gone down, folders open quicker as well, Open Office, one of the slower opening apps has also improved.
