 Tests to take after switching ISPs?

Hi there,
we are moving from Rogers to Teksavvy or Velcom within the next week.
Are there any specific tests to try to check for maximum speed, line quality and modem functionality?
One test found is:

»/stest

Other speed tests were specific to an ISP, ex: Rogers and Cogeco
Most likely we'll go for Velcom as there is no set contract.
