The music industry shot itself in the foot when they eliminated vinyl, and raised the street price on equivalent CD's by $4 per album.

They put the nail in the coffin when they added DRM.

I was happy to buy the "all you can play" offering from Yahoo Music, but I didn't know it meant "Reinstall twice daily". What a POS.

Now we have Microsoft expiring paid-for licensed music.

I will never buy music downloads.
