Re: Review AT&T U-Verse Ok, I tried it and not keeping it.
I may be picky, but here's why I'm not keeping it.
1. Existing remotes can't be programmed to access Moto VIP boxes - no codes. 2. U-verse remotes don't change sources on any of my TV's 3. Interactive options are really slow 4. Freezes on some functions that essentially lock up the TV. 5. No page up/down on menus 6. Music channels are kind of crappy. 7. HD quality isn't up to TWC - sorry.
The additional content just wasn't worth the hassle.
My complaint now with U-verse is that even though they ran cat5 everywhere, they cut up my TWC coax.
I do hope, however, that they let me keep the Internet (which is fine) so I don't have to go through getting my old DSL back. |

Did you ask them to keep your cable active? I hope so, because installers can't read your mind. If I were you, I'd call and lodge an installation complaint and make them run new coax. Maybe they will.

My experience was that they allowed me to cancel the TV and keep U-verse Internet, but they were a bit prying about why I wanted to do it. You seem to have a decent list. |

 | Got U-Verse installed yesterday. Since I am unable to receive regular AT&T DSL service they didn't hassle me about just ordering the VDSL only. the install took a little over an hour. I ordered the 6/1 package, i believe it is the Elite.
Speeds are awesome, very stable. The pings are outstanding. I used to have ISDN, where the pings weren't stable at all and ranged from 95ms - 150ms. After a day of gaming online with buddies, my pings are from 35ms - 75ms SOLID. 68ms was the highest I saw and it was to a server in Southern California, & I live in Michigan. I am extremely pleased with U-Verse thus far. |
