Fiber here in Tullahoma

Our utility company has been installing fiber for the last 6 months and will be ready this fall. I can't wait 10 to 100 mbps download.

Below is a statement from the utilities board.

For the customers of the Tullahoma Utilities Board Summer 2008
Dear TUB Customers,

As General Manager of Tullahoma Utilities Board, it is my pleasure to write to you all about our
exciting changes at TUB. The employees at TUB have been working hard for more than a year to bring
Tullahoma and our electricity customers a state-of-the-art fiber optic network that will provide television,
internet and telephone services.
Many people have asked, “Why is TUB getting into the cable television business?” While it’s
true TUB will be offering television services through our fiber network, television was not the driving
factor in our decision to enter into offering additional services to our customers. The incredible broadband
speeds that are possible through the use of fiber can be a tremendous economic development tool for the
area. Being able to offer internet speeds of 100 Megabits or higher can help Tullahoma attract businesses
and industries that can compete in the global marketplace by having access to TUB’s fiber network.
TUB will be offering hundreds of channels via our fiber to the premise network with signal
strengths and picture quality like never seen before in this area. We will offer more than 35 High Definition
channels, premium channels such as HBO and Showtime, as well as pay-per-view and video on demand.
The internet packages will range from a 10M connection all the way up to a 100M connection. The
telephone service will provide unlimited long distance anywhere in the continental United States with all
the calling features. And customers will be available to keep their same phone numbers, and will be
included in the phone book just like they always have been.
We want to thank everyone who has shown their support for this project as we have moved
forward, and we look forward to providing our “new” fiber customers the same quality customer service
TUB has provided the residents and businesses of Tullahoma for more than 60 years.
If you have any questions regarding our fiber project please feel free to call our office at 455-4515,
or visit our website at www.tub.net for more information.

Sincerely,
R. Brian Skelton
General Manager
