I got a FIOS flyer in the mail to pre-order, so I called and got my name on the list, and she took my home number cell number e-mail address and put me in the list for priority ordering. So I asked her when will be ready for order and she gave me a firm date of 8-2-08 YES!!!! Good Bye Comcrap!!!! |

It's inching closer and closer to me as well.
I haven't gotten the pre order flier in the mail yet, but half my CO is all ready lit up.
I entered the phone number for a hardware store half way between me and the CO, and it told me it was available.
They sure do seem to be taking their time, though....

| TV and Internet 20/5. Because they rolled out the Internet so far before the TV here, I never ended up with any bundle or anything like that (I have separate bill payments for each). Just recently they finally got the online "My Account" to realize that I have both. Not being a phone customer has its drawbacks. I am paying 49.99 for the 20/5 and on the website it says M2M (I guess that means month to month???), I am not sure what I could get with a commitment of a year or two, but honestly my billing has been steady and when you read about the billing issues people have had, I just feel like letting it ride this way.
All the techs that have been out to my house over the last 2+ years have been great, I hope you find the same. Good luck and enjoy!!!! |

| Just came home from a walk, and I saw a verizon tech around the corner from my house about 10 houses or so on Ocean ave, so I stopped and spoke to him...very very nice guy who said he JUST INSTALLED FIOS!!!! So I called verizon only to find out that we wont be live till 8-30!!!!!! I do not get it..any verizon people care to share? |

| Artec, Artec, Artec!!! This is Verizon we're talking about!!! You will love the service, You'll learn to nit pick about the smallest TV issue or the choice in router (though deep down inside you'll know it's Light Years ahead of Comcast in speed and quality and D* in quality) but you'll never be able to understand why the billing / ordering / Customer Service have completely incompatible computer systems!
That said, you should be happy when all is finally set up. Hang in there!
