Thanks for the hints.
When I go ashore and look for other pirates online (to attack) is there any way to sort them from lowest to highest? I keep finding people who have so much experience that I would definately fail if I attacked in my little rowboat LOL

By the way, there is a faster way to sort by your location. Just click on the location link in your quick info box which is always displayed on the top right of your screen... it hotlinks to the filtered list of your location arranged high level to low.... click on the level link and it arranges low to high. saves you from having to click walk ashore, who's who, and then filtering.
