I switched to San Pedro cause there are tons more dubs to snag. I wanted to upgrade my ship, hire some people, get cannons and start education.
Got that all out of the way so i probably will head back to tortuga tomorrow to continue to level. Right now i'm just training.

1 edit | i think we are still saving up, i recommend everyone get to at least be level 5... maybe 10 before they join the fleet. otherwise we will just be drawing attention to a fleet that cannot defend itself. like last time  that is.. if we are going to be competing this round.

hey i was wondering if we should ok attacking of fleetmates if they are offline... cause in other ports, a fleet member might be one of the only ships you can attack due to the low number of people at other places right now.
we never discussed this last round, but i can't think of any drawbacks... am i missing something? besides the ship repair, but whoever attacks could toss 3 ship kits as a good will gesture... what you guys think? |

i hit level 5 by the way, and sailed out to St. Croix. Dunno about you all and your experience, but since the privateer and admiral days are going, i suggest you take advantage. ive made about 20,000 doubs just sailing through about 30 nav points total. no joke. that means that i could afford really expensive crew right off the bat and also bought myself the armor (25% armor) and weapon available out there (small sword, not a good one but im not trying to pay 50k doubs for something better...) |

The wife and I have both been getting pummeled all damn day by level 10 and above. I'm still trying to get enough money together to buy my next boat. Still at level 5.
Question, I see I have 5 admiral days and 5 privateer days. How do I use them?

LOL locutus.... good stuff with the pics. If you see the 5 and 5 at the top right of your screen, i believe it means they are currently in use -- the game gave some to all pirates at start of round. Message me in game with how much doubs you need for your ship.. i have some i can spare.
Yeah i've been watching your progress mokey... good job!
As for my bragging, i broke the top 50! (dont know how long that will last... lol). I suggest if you have internet on your phone, set a buzzer to go off every 15 minutes so you can pull up the training page and hit train. i wouldn't know anything about that.
couple of tips from me.
when i was coming up i ALWAYS set adrift and never tried to board... too big a chance of not being able to board, and you need every exp. point you can get -- if you beat the boat and then cant board you dont get anything.  *always plunder a frigate tho... cause they will stay there until you board
also take advantage of crew education. whatever you sign up for, devote all training to other areas... when 5 days are up, education will pull whatever area you have going up close to your other areas. after first week tho, that might not be what you want to do (cause amount of training will change as you progress through levels.)
protus: damn bro.. get well soon! we need our Capn'.
all you guys posting pics of ports -- awesome job -- i'm setting something up to aid in sharing of that information... which helps a lot.

once i get some basic education classes down im gonna go after the cartography (have to do nav education and then it is a 3 or 4 course thing) but it leads to seeing where islands are, and i think seeing where reefs are at the end. |
