this is the frustrating part of the game. Those islands had nothing, the ships i raided were average, I've explored probably 10% of the map and got hit by 2 storms and 3 reefs. |

| a. we started to talk about the rules last round but i think we should get them in writing.
b. I say let the last two caps start the fleet up again but we might all want to be at least a level 10? (i dunno)
c. everyone who joins should have to donate 10,000 dubs to the fleet. 10 people and we are at 100,000. once you get to other islands besides tortuga it doesn't take long at all to accumulate dubs.
i love that i can train using my blackberry and in fact i can do EVERYTHING but explore. but setting up a 15 minute timer..hmm never even thought about that.

I've noticed that as well. Lots of empty islands.
Well, I just hit level 8 and will go back to training now. Wanted to get out of Tortuga cause i was sick of getting hit by the higher ups.

I have been talking to Protus about starting it.. but I haven't gotten mail back from him. I'd say let's wait another day and let those who may not have been able to play over the weekend get up to speed. Then we will create the fleet.
We still have a few things being discussed such as minimum level requirements, mandatory donation, etc. I also think we should consider a minimum ship level so that we ensure new members can get to our decided on "home" port and can fight where we need them to.
This is pasrt of what I was proposing...
Fleet Member Expectations:
-----------------------------
1) To have fun playing WMP with your fellow DSLR members.
2) To support the fleets war efforts by following orders and fighting battles when/where needed.
3) To support the fleet financially with doubloons, gold and items.
4) To support your fleetmates with information and assistance as you are able and requested to do so.
Fleet Requirements:
---------------------
1) Be a DSLR member in good standing
2) Be a WMP player in good standing
3) Agree to abide by the Fleet Member Expectations
4) Make a Fleet Membership Application post in this thread.
5) Meet minimum WMP level/ship requirements. (This is still being discussed in the other threads. You may apply to join the fleet at any time however your application may not be accepted until you meet minimum requirements. Currently we are discussing a requirement of level 5 or 10. There may be a minimum ship requirement so that you are able to sail to our home port and fight in our wars.)
6) Once accepted into the fleet make an Initiation Donation of 10,000 doubloons and 10 gold bars to the fleet treasury.
Your Fleet Membership Application post should:

1) Be made with a registered DSLR member ID.
2) Include a cut and paste of your "Me Moniker" information
3) Include a cut and paste of your "Me Ship" information.
4) Include a cut and paste of your "Me Crew" information.
What do you guys think?
In addition to deciding on some of these things we need to know how to keep everything organized. The most successful fleets were the most organized... and that's what made them powerful.

I like your suggestions. I'll 2nd them. The minimum levels I think we could split it and say 7? It doesn't really matter to me as long as we have something.
Protus said he had mono a few posts back..he's probably still hurting today then.

Looking for Fleet Startup doubloons...
If you've got doubloons to donate please send me a bottle to make sure I'm online... then if I reply you can send them. Don't send if I don't reply... otherwise they will just get plundered.
I have 50k now I am willing to donate to the cause.
I need another 50k.
ProtusMose and I are going to switch positions of Commander/2nd in Command for this round (at least for now).
