I've worked with these guys in the past. Having spent 18 of my 20 years as a Coast Guard Radioman, I've crossed paths with many HAM ops during Search and Rescue cases. There were always eger to help and were like having an extra set of ears. The good samaritans of the airwaves is what we use to refer to them as when I was stationed at Commsta Honolulu/NMO back in the 80's. Thanks guys. You have assisted in saving countless lives with nothing more then a thank you. People don't realize how a hobby can be so important in time of need. Keep up the good work and 73's. |
