| Intermittent Loss and Slow Speeds
So I have had the service about 5 months and this is the slowest I have had speeds since I had it installed. I am setup on a D-Link router and have as many as 3 computers (the most that's on at any time is 2, but mostly just mine). My NIC has started to lose connection every 5 minutes or so (but reconnects).
By the way running WinXP Professional SP2
Are the results from the speedtest. I have even unhooked the only phone in the apartment to speeds no better. Any suggestions would be helpful. |

I've had the DSL account since 2000 and never once did I lose my connection. I would consider going back to cable... but comcast is just as bad... |

| reply to BoboJaymz I am having that issue aswell. I think everyone is. It just started about a week ago. I'm getting the same speeds you are. I was also thinking of switching services. I have had many problems before with after At&t took over but never this one. I think we should both call them again and mention that you think its happening to a wide range of their customers.
I can't even watch a YouTube clip takes FOREVVERR. |

| reply to BoboJaymz Same problem here too. I was having a hard time with my connection. I'm still having problems with it but currently it's good now.
For you does it go bad for a while and good for a while and back to bad for a while and good for a while and so on and so on??? |

Yeah, the problem is getting better, it was a whole lot worse a few weeks ago when this 1st started happening.

@sbcglobal.net | reply to BoboJaymz The slow speeds have hit me a few days ago. I used to be able to hit 5000kbps and now it hovers at about 1300kbps.

I know for a fact that many users are not familiar with the equipment they have, nor the OS they are running, neither the package the ISP is providing them with , and worse: many a time it just comes down to inside wiring SU. It does help to check on that. Additionally, slow browse is often an issue of the kind of protection ware installed on the OS ...just thought I`d share... |
