| I hate Charter But I am stuck, I can't have anything else in my area. I loved Comcast. I want to go back. In the last year I have had Charter, I have had 5 major outages, 2 modems quit working, the list goes on and on. AND they charge me to come out and fix THEIR problems. I had Comcast for 20 years and never had ONE problem. I moved and had to get Charter cause it's all I can have here. COMCAST I MISS YOU....... | |

| If you have had two modems die, I would start to suspect that you have electrical issues in this new place. Invest in a good power conditioning UPS and make sure everything that is tied to the computer is plugged into it. On one site I had a printer taking a power spike and sending it back through to the computer. Computer was on a good ups but the printer was not. Put the printer on a ups and issues went away.
On the other hand some head ends just suck (both for Charter and Comcast). You may have moved from a good head end on Comcast to a bad head end on Charter. | |
