Invest in a good power conditioning UPS and make sure everything that is tied to the computer is plugged into it. On one site I had a printer taking a power spike and sending it back through to the computer. Computer was on a good ups but the printer was not. Put the printer on a ups and issues went away.

On the other hand some head ends just suck (both for Charter and Comcast). AND they charge me to come out and fix THEIR problems. I had Comcast for 20 years and never had ONE problem. I moved and had to get Charter cause it's all I can have here.
