| Cable modem issues ?
So every now and then I loose service, no connection. I look at my modem, every light looks fine except for the cable light, it flashes on.........off.......on....off. Any ideas ? Bad modem ? Can I just go buy one and plug it up, or does comcast have to come out ? |

| You can purchase and use your own cable modem - just call Comcast and give them the MAC ID # and Serial # and then return the rental modem.

join:2008-07-20 Knoxville, TN | reply to blackcrx How long have you had the Terayon modem? And are there ever times that the test light on it ever stay on for extended periods? If you're seeing the test light when the modem wasn't recently restarted that's an indication of hardware failure. |
