music CD burned from itunes won't play in home...

I was trying to make a music CD from itunes and an interesting problem came up. The CDs (I tried it a few times) all played the music fine in car stereos but not in home stereo CD players.
Any 'guru' out there who might have a suggestion?
Thanks!

One thing comes to mind: some cd players are just pickier than others when it comes to burned CDs. I've heard it suggested that when this happens to burn another CD at the slower speeds if not the slowest speed.

Yes burn at a slower speed. Also don't use cheap media. And some CD players depending on brand and age just will not play CD-r's.

Thanks folks! I changed the itunes burning preferences from 'maximum speed' to 1X and burned another copy. I tried it in my home CD player and it worked fine, so I'll pop it in the car and check that one too.
The acid test will be if my son in law's father can play it at his house!

I appreciate the help a lot and thank you for the time. I learned something new on this issue.
