Haven't seen a black fly this year, not a one. The stinkin' things usually chew holes in us, the cats, my neighbors horses, etc. This year, none.
Ditto mosquitoes in swarms until last night. But, undoubtedly due to the influence of Mainers, the New Hampshire state bird returned in spades.
Can't stand 'em... they are up your nose, in your ears and eyes, ~blech~ !!
I blame you, Kat. I really do...
