Do you know how much that fiber line would normally run per month to lease? |

@comcast.net | Yeah it is kinda weird, the amount of stuff they just chuck away, and you wonder why our cable bills are high... |

| It comes with the comcast triple play, so i think to get that deal we need to hold on to it, ether way it helps, i have the three internet connections load balanced, via an F5 Big-IP Appliance. The fiber connection handels all the web servers, and the dsl connection does game servers + sql servers + vpn + ftp etc. and the comcast connection isent set to allow or deny any traffic. |

| i have the power supply for the node(big black thing, 90volt output? really heavy, looks like it goes in a rack or box or something), it is sitting on my work bench right now, and i have some of those fiber modulator things(big Grey, rack mountable), that convert the video/audio into the fiber optic signal(i think it uses some type of DWDM to encode the signal). Then from the node, i have some of that hard line stuff, that goes to a line extender, which is like a big silver thing just like the node, forcept smaller. then from there more hard line, then to an 8 port Motorola tap, then on the tap there is a terminator thing on the output side. and connected to the tap, i have a tv, set to channel 10, and i am not sure how to get the audio/video thing to come up on the tv, and i am pretty sure the node works. BTW, the input for the fiber modulator thing is an xbox, lol. |

| nah, it is running out behind my house then over along the stone wall, they are like right next to me, so it is just running thought some of that Orange fiber protector tube, the fiber is pretty tough, so i am not really worryed about anything happeing to it, it is udnerground like 7 inches up until the stone wall, then it surfaces, for a couple yards, then goes back under to there place, then surfaces then thougth a little hold in the cement on the side of the house. -- -- Paul A.
