I'm not familiar enough with both to know about the durability but I can say that the HP will be much quieter than the Samsung. I've got a Samsung and you can hear it in another room when it does it's warm-up cycle. I used an HP laser at a temp job recently and it was almost silent, and faster from cold with the same quality.
