Re: Anyone else losing sync - weekends?

I have been fighting this same problem for the last 3 months. I had voice and data service at this physical location for over two years prior to switching to a dry loop service about a year ago. I never had these problems with the regular voice and data. The current service is 3Mbps and will work fine throughout the week (M-F). Every single weekend, my down speeds drop to around 30Kbps. My upload speed is still maxed out around 384Kbps.

A phone call to tech support will go through all of the normal hoops (power cycle everything, run speed test, etc., remove filter, reapply filter). The customer service guy on the phone will consult a line technician on the other line, and then things will begin to work again. This will be fine until the next weekend when I will have to go through the process again.

There have been two field technicians to my location in the past couple of months, and neither of them see any problem with either side of the NID.

I am starting to wonder if this isn't a reaction to people moving to dry loop service. They never wanted to offer the dry loop to begin with, and were forced to by the FCC. It could be an approach of offering horrible service so people will leave the dry loop, or leave all together.
