No, you don't have the "right to know". It's completely up to PayPal to decide whether or not their phone support people should disclose their physical location.

This is yet another asinine PayPal rant. I've used PayPal for years now to process tens of thousands of dollars worth of transactions, and have yet to run into a single issue that I haven't been able to resolve with PayPal. Besides, they didn't let me cancel the transaction because in that case THEY WOULD LOSE THE ABILITY TO CHARGE ME FOR RETRIEVING MY FUNDS.

And they are very cheeky, they wouldn't let me access the cancellation page. And God, I tried...very hard. Nah! That page wouldn't open at all. Isn't that a coincidence?

And now, for f...s sake, I have to wait 7-8 days to get my money and they will deduct $x bucks for getting it back.

I am now confused. Like where? PayPal was the only place where I entered the card number, and only one time. Wouldn't the only other place be the bank where the card account is? I can see no reason that PayPal would release my CC number to anyone since they set up a different account number for me. (Unless PayPal site did not have a secure connection.)

Short story: In August 2003 bought a shareware program and the author required payment via PayPal. Opened PayPal account with new credit card (first time card account was ever used). Funds were sent to software developer for program. No problem.

Therefore PayPal, or someone at PayPal, took advantage of and jeopardized my account. The credit card company felt it best to close the account and issue me a new card.

This is my story:

I processed a transaction last Saturday night but decided to cancel it. The recipient didn't accept the payment because it was done outside business hours. However, I was unable to do that through their website as I read online that the way to do is by following these steps:


1. Click on My Account tab.
2. Click the History subtab.
3. Click on Payments sent subtab.
3. Click Cancel in the Action column of the transaction in question.
4. Click Cancel Payment.

The thing is that I have tried to open that damn Payments sent subtab and it was impossible. I tried to open that page countless times to no avail. I ended up calling my Bank on Sunday who finally were able to stop any requests from PayPal.

I called PayPal this morning and the told me that once a transaction is processed it can't be stopped. I am calling from Australia to a 1800 number and I spoke to someone located in God knows which country. Maybe India, Indonesia??

I asked the operator about the country in which he was located and he said to me:

"Sorry but I am not authorised to disclose that information."

I said to myself: Bullshit! But you are very keen to mingle with my money!!!

I had enough of PayPal and their dirty tricks. No more PayPal here for sure.
