i could kind of see it growing, esp. with ringtones, but 7.3 billion is a very optimistic jump. the main age groups doing the downloading, at least for something that gets old as fast as ringtones, are going to grow up and get bored with it. that and like digital music downloads, eventually get most/all of what you want and plateau off from constant downloads.
it'd also be interesting to see what/how much of it is from new "artists" and how much has been attributed to existing bands/acts. |
